1938 Jackson Day Dinner, New York

This meal was a New York tradition sponsored by the state and national Democratic Committee. Democratic luminaries of the day who spoke- and attended- the dinner included Senator Robert Wagner, Governor Herbert Lehman and congressman Joseph Gavagan. The featured speaker was the greatest Democrat of them all, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
